For those of us who long to dive under the deep blue ocean waters, but are physically unable to do so, you can now experience what divers do with Endless Ocean Blue World by Nintendo. Developed for their Wii console, this game brings the undersea world of Mother Earth’s deepest depths right into your home. The graphics are truly amazing, as thousands upon thousands of fish and marine mammals and reptilian creatures swim around you during your dive. Not only will you get to experience a dive in the deep blue sea, but also in some of the most famous and scary rivers of the world, like the Amazon.

The games premise is that your professional diving team is in search of the origins of the tune that is heard underwater around the world. Human’s and marine animals are not enemies in this adventure, but become friends. Nintendo programmers have added three hundred species in the game, so prepare to be amazed. The Wii controller has made it possible for gamers to draw whatever they would like on the ocean floor. There are whistles to call sea animals with, you can offer the fish food and they will swim & eat out of your hand. There is even an underwater camera so you can snap shots of your favorite marine creatures.

This video game also incorporates the use of Wii Speak, a microphone accessory for the Wii console that allows people in up to four differing locations to talk to each other via a VOIP (voice over internet protocol) utilizing Nintendo’s WiFi Connection. At the top of the television is where the microphone should be located. The microphone can be purchase at many electronic retailers for approximately $30 US. With the addition of the Wii Speak channel downloaded to your Wii console, you can even leave your friends voice messages. Including the microphone in the game enhances the experience.

Endless Ocean Blue World was developed with realism in mind. Creativity and research combine to create an enjoyable deep sea diving experience.

Divers can experience many diverse ancient civilizations and historical sites that are not accessible by man. The backdrops for all of the games scenes are in 3D, so you really get the feeling that you’re diving right beside your compadres. Endless Ocean Blue World is hands down the Wii’s most impressive game.
