If you want to play a really, REALLY popular game, follow in the footsteps of millions of gamers and check out Pet Society. It centers around creating your own virtual pet and then rising through many levels to succeed in a spectacular way. There are, of course, ways to ‘cheat’ in this virtual world and we will discuss two of these … but they’re 100% legal so there’s no danger of being banned from the game.

Your first game task is to create your pet and there are a huge number of choices, which results in some really strange-looking animals! You must consider your avatar carefully because a major part of the game is grooming, feeding, washing, and playing with your pet. So if your pet isn’t appealing to you, the game won’t be fun and you’ll most likely quit.

Once you have your pet, don’t even think about retreating to your home and living a life of isolation. To ‘win’ in Pet Society you will need to accumulate points and money and you can’t do that without interacting with other pets and their owners. This IS a social interaction game after all and there are many rewards for being friendly.

There are a lot of places to go in Pet Society. For instance, if you love tools and ‘toys’, drop in at the Gadget shop. If you love sporting events hang out at the Stadium and if your hair is a bit shaggy, don’t forget the Beauty Salon. Your precious pet is, naturally, welcome everywhere even in places where animals aren’t normally allowed.

Like all games, there are “levels” and you will want to go up the ladder as quickly as you can. The action begins with no points at the “Getting Started” level and you can zoom through 47 levels. The top level currently is the “Ruby Super Pet” level but this is a real challenge because it requires a whopping 420,000 points! Obviously, acquiring points in critical to success in this virtual game.

Since scooping up points is so important, it’s smart to take shortcuts whenever you can. It’s always possible to learn the hard way – though experience – but that involves time and a heap of mistakes. Successful players who have played superbly have shared ‘cheats’ that are totally legal but will help you move up through the levels much faster.

Our first super-points tip is to quickly get yourself down to the Mystery Shop, taking your pet with you. Invest your current funds in as large supply as you can afford of doses of Effect Away. Then take your pet home and have it drink every drop of the potion because you’re paid 17 Paw Prints for each drink. And don’t worry – it’s not at all harmful so you can give him as much as he wants. You can then invest those funds in more drinks and keep your baby drinking. This will bring you points very quickly.

#2 You can earn extra money by cleaning other people’s pets. Take your pet for a walk and wander through the shops. You are looking for pets that need cleaning and you will easily recognize them because they will be surrounded by flies. You can clean your pet, of course, but you should always look for other dirty pets. Then all you need do is click on the Soap icon and you will be paid for cleaning off the flies and dirt. Now comes the trick … click “Refresh” and the newly-clean pets will be covered with flies again (poor babies)! You can simply repeat the cleaning until you get sick of washing little animals. You will be paid each time, of course.

These methods will allow you to rack up Paw Print points and you can use them to buy all kinds of goodies. There are multiple stores and you can buy luxuries from the Luxury store or wallpaper, expensive beds and carpet from the Furniture store. Items in all the stores are changed weekly so you won’t soon run out of treasures to buy on your way to the exalted Ruby realms.
