The WoW Warrior is primarily known for his tanking abilities and he is indeed in high demand for endgame raids because of this. Warriors are also unique in that they use a system called rage. Rage is built up as a warrior fights and this rage is then spent on various special abilities which you learn as you level.
One thing that makes a WoW warrior particularly unique from any other class is that they use a system called rage. Rage is built up as the warrior fights and this can then be spent on a number of special abilities depending on how you spec.
You will find yourself extremely popular if you spec protection as a warrior but leveling up with the specification is extremely slow and tiresome. The best talents for increasing your level tend to be a combination of arms and fury as these are the DPS specs.
You can choose to play as a warrior in any race in world of Warcraft except for the blood elves. Warriors do not have a particularly steep learning curve hence there are quite popular amongst newbies.
Warriors also have the advantage of being able to wear any kind of armor available in the game and they can also wield all the weapons available except for wands. You can also choose talents which allow you to dual wield effectively so you can play a bit more like a rogue. However, warriors are perhaps most effective when it comes to damage per second using a two handed weapon.
Despite all this, if you don’t like tanking, then a WoW warrior is probably not the class for you. DPS warriors, although you can take dual specs now, are never in particularly high demand so you will find that if you want to get into a group and a guild, then you are far better off taking up tanking as this is something that every raid needs.
